Display Technology

Using an Immersive Cross-Media Experience to showcase Taiwan’s diverse ecological landscapes. The innovative plant interaction system, developed by ITRI, incorporates the world's first human-responsive swaying technology. In partnership with an innovative power machinery startup (Okome Studio), 560 mechanical plant displays were designed and produced. These are paired with 560 interconnected ASUS Chromebooks, synchronizing screens to form single or multi-display configurations. Through fluid mechanical movements, the displays mimic flowers swaying in the wind or fish leaping, transforming tech products into a rhythmically moving field of blooms. Precision robotic arms, designed and manufactured by Taiwanese mechanical engineering firm (HIWIN Technologies), demonstrate the high-precision rapid rotation and instant positioning required for performance.  

Eleven high-definition 4K laser projectors create seamless imagery on the curved walls, delivering a high-contrast visual experience that fully immerses visitors in the scene. Enhanced by Taiwan’s distinctive scents, the experience offers a deeper, more multi-sensory connection, evoking a profound sense of presence and emotional engagement.

This installation blends real flowers with MicroLED transparent displays, offering a mixed-reality visual experience. The area features 60-inch transparent Micro LED display modules (by AUO) arranged to create the illusion of virtual butterflies dancing among real orchids.

This space mimics an art gallery using AUO's FindARTs lifelike art screens. What appear to be static paintings slowly transform over time, seamlessly revealing Taiwan’s breathtaking landscapes and dynamic urban transformations. All these changing vistas unfold in the blink of an eye. The gallery integrates three unique technologies: (1) A.R.T. Advanced Anti-Reflection Technology (2) Ultra-realistic color reproduction technology, and (3) High-strength image encryption technology. This setup allows for preserving original artworks while opening new channels for the widespread promotion of art pieces.  

A 13-meter-wide, 2.4-meter-high ultra-wide Mini LED screen (by Harvatek Corporation) delivers an unparalleled high-definition visual experience. Combined with dynamic interactive sensing and 3D imaging technology, this immersive setup transports visitors into a vision of a better future.

Using 24 ProART monitors (by ASUS) with HDR displays featuring IPS 178° wide-angle panels. Customized videos are generated based on visitors' interest profiles and AI technology, offering personalized travel recommendations. These videos can be downloaded as souvenirs.

ITRI provides a 3D display system, integrating 3D realistic imaging software with flexible Mini LED displays (by Epileds) to form cylindrical displays. This showcases Taiwan's prowess in both software and hardware display technologies.

With cutting-edge color calibration and advanced algorithms, the e-paper display (by Netronix, Inc.) delivers a sharp, dynamic visual experience with exceptional clarity and performance.
